Some photos from the National Memorial Arboretum
Hello,
Today I had the amazing oppurtynity of visiting the National Memorial Arboretum in Staffordshire. After the 3-4 hour drive down we took a 20 minute hike up to the Shot at dawn. This memorial was created to commemorate the men shot at dawn for allegedly being 'cowardly' - running away from war some even suffered shell shock which is more commonly known as post-traumatic stress disorder.
Here is an image of the memorial. Each of the wooden posts represents one of the soldiers.
This shows what the posts read.
Six trees are placed across from the statue to represent the six artillery men who would have killed the soldiers, some even killed their friends.
Here are some more images from my trip if you have any questions about the memorials just leave a comment below and I will reply.
Thanks for reading and come back tomorrow for a new post!

It is amazing if you have chance to go do! I loved it you have to have a full day there to see everything but it is very difficult because it is on a large scale. Some of the memorial gardens are stunning!
