Let's Talk! - My new book obsession, Writing a novel and Daily vlogging!?

Image
Hello lovelies, Today i thought i would do a bit more of a chatty post as i felt it was well delivered last time i did one of these posts. So since the last time we spoke i have finally left secondary school after doing my last exam on Friday. This means that I have 11 weeks to myself for watching some TV shows, shopping, reading and Oh? lets not forget you lovely people reading this, I will try to post much more frequently. And maybe post everyday but don't keep me to that. Well the last few weeks have been some hectic ones at that, I went to the local funfair and was sick on one of the rides - not embarrassing at all! The day after that I went shopping in town and this week I had my leavers barbecue and spent all day yesterday (saturday) in Blackpool! So i will be posting a a huge collective haul in the next few days. This summer I have made a promise to myself to take more risks and try new things but I also want to get a lot more reading done this summer. I am currently r...

Lets Talk! - GCSE's, Prom and BookTube!?

Image
Hello Lovelies, I know, I know long time no talk but life is pretty damn stressful right now. I have officially started my GCSE's and in case you don't know what GCSEs are these are the exams that take place in the UK before College (I am so lucky to have already been accepted). The exams I have taken so far are Maths, English Language and the first biology exam. First of all I already passed maths in January *cheers* but i decided to take higher maths so i am preparing for that torture in the next few weeks *boooooo*. English Language was amazing because I had the opportunity to attend a conference in Harrogate that was where my exam board literally told me exactly what i needed to do to get an A/A* which in case you didn't already know I really want to get a high grade in English because I love that lesson and I am doing it at A Level. Although the support I received was very encouraging it was still very stressful going into the exam I was asked about bees? I mean bees...

My Summer Book Challenge - TBR

Image
Hello Lovelies, As of tomorrow it is the first week of the six week holidays in the UK aka the summer holidays (vacation). So I thought I would set my self a challenge to read at least 6 books one for each week!  Here is the first book that I am currently reading!  The Mortal Instruments City Of Ashes This is the second book in the The Mortal Instruments Series when I started the first book I thought it would just be another annoying over the top fantasy novel especially after seeing the (awful) film of it but I judged a book by its cover and fell in love with the series the characters are so well developed and I am in love with the way Cassandra Clare writes! Most authors that write in 3rd person I hate because i feel like it is so disconnected to the characters but she doesn't do that you can acknowledge the characters emotions, thoughts, beliefs and why the characters act a certain way! I am just in love with this book series!  I thought to continue with the next book ...

A Story With Great Depth

A Story With Great Depth I love stories with great twists and turns and things that will shock you along the way. If you have seen an Indiana Jones movie you will see many twists because one happens every ten minutes which keeps us viewers on the edge of our seats but a good book can also do this. In my opinion this adds great depth and detail to the story because you may think you know a character but they may shock you. A brilliant book that some of you may of heard of is ‘Vampire Academy’ which I believe Rachelle mead wrote ( not sure sorry!) this story actually made me feel the emotions the characters felt, it was amazing at some points you were asking for something to happen but once it did you felt the regret of that the characters felt. It’s is a great example of emotional writing/literature. (If that’s even what you call it.) I have currently been reading the story ‘Mister Creecher’ by Chris priestly into the first few chapters a lot of unexpected things happened it ...
